Objective:

In cooperation with the GFWC, the Clayton Junior Women’s Club will strive to:

• Encourage friendship between the women of our communities
• Unite and promote the well-being and interests of its members
• Promote progress in the civic, cultural, educational and social arena for the betterment of the community. 

• Membership shall be limited to young women 18-45, regardless of race, nationality or religious affiliation.
• Members may be accepted at any regular meeting of the club.
• Persons desiring to transfer to the CJWC from another Federated Junior Club, who fulfill the above qualifications, shall file a letter requesting transfer from their club. This letter shall be sent to the CJWC President. CJWC members desiring to transfer to another Federated Club shall request a letter from the President.
• The 2009 year shall be January – August. Subsequent years shall be September – May beginning in September 2009.

Dues:

• The dues shall be $45.00 annually. 
• Dues for new members coming in after the beginning of the year shall be paid at time of admission, prorated by the Treasurer. 
• Dues are payable to the Treasurer on or before January 1^st.
• Members in arrears shall be dropped from membership.

Meetings:

• The regular meetings of the club shall be held on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:45pm - 8:15pm at the Clayton Women’s Clubhouse, except when otherwise ordered by the club or the Executive Board.
• The last meeting of the year (August 2009 and May thereafter) shall be the Annual Meeting of the Club.
• Special meetings may be called by the President and shall be called at the request of five members. All members shall be notified of the time and place of special meetings.
• Decisions can be made on behalf of the membership by the Executive Board with a three-fourths vote by the Executive Board. 
• Two-thirds membership shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business of the club.
